You may be required to provide a sick note for your employer if you are absent from work due to illness. If the absence lasts less than seven days, you can complete a self certificate which you can collect from reception. If your employer requests a doctor’s note for less than seven days’ absence, we can provide you with a private certificate, but you will need to pay a fee for this as it is not covered under NHS services.
A medical certificate can be provided for you if you are absent from work for seven days or more due to illness and you do not need to pay a fee for this service. For a medical certificate to be issued you need to have consulted the doctor about the sickness preventing you from working. Issuing sick notes is at the doctor’s discretion.
